For these silica-based achiral columns, the percentage of alkyl loading is chosen to give optimal performance and retention in high aqueous mobile phase compositions. This is monitored based on retention of pyrimidine and phenol. The reversed phase columns have a carbon load of 17%.
The Diol and Pholipidec™ phases were developed for highly selective normal phase separation of phospholipids.
