ZirChrom®-PS columns offer today's chromatographer the following advantages:

  • A reversed-phase like material, useful for separations that require highly aqueous eluents. Stable from pH 1-13.
  • Not as hydrophobic as typical C18-silica phases, so less organic solvent is required.
  • Selectivity is modifiable through the addition of a strong Lewis base to the mobile phase such as fluoride, phosphate or hydroxide.
  • Thermal stability is so high it may be used indefinitely at temperatures up to 150oC, and is much more stable than new ZorbaxTM phases. These higher temperatures result in lower pressure drops, narrower peaks, very high speed analyses and different selectivity.
