Chromenta ion-exclusion columns are packed with PS/DVB resins available in 5µm and 8µm particle sizes. The column in H+ form is routinely used in the bio-ethanol monitoring for simultaneously separating small sugars, organic acids, and alcohols using 100% water as the mobile phase. The Ca++ form provides a different selectivity for small sugar separations in food and plant materials.
